MSVT Team Trophy

The MSVT Team Trophy was a new series for 2011 designed for production and production based saloon, hatchback and sports cars manufactured after 1994. The series is also the official graduate series of the MSVT Trackday Trophy and therefore teams who have previously competed in the Trackday Trophy are permitted to enter the Team Trophy in their existing race cars even if they have been manufactured before 1994.

Club racing can sometimes become a little too serious so the goal of the Team Trophy is to be an informal race series that is ultimately as much fun as possible for everyone involved. Although the racing will be competitive, the series aims to retain the light-hearted and friendly atmosphere that has made the Trackday Trophy such a success.

The Team Trophy is intended to be a team event and therefore, races are designed for two drivers so that the costs of running the car can be shared. However, solo entries are also accepted but all cars must complete a three minute mandatory pit-stop during the race.

Each event consists of 30 minutes practice/qualifying, followed by a 60 minute race, both of which will take place on one day to reduce overnight costs. Entry fees for 2012 rounds were £399 per team, with the special two-hour endurance race at Anglesey in September costing £499.
