Monoposto Championship set for drama-filled final round
13/10/2011 - There is only one championship up for grabs as the Monoposto Championship stages its final two rounds of the season at MSVR's Judgement weekend.
It will be a celebratory homecoming for Norfolk-born Tristan Cliffe after being crowned Monoposto 2000 champion at Anglesey last time out. The Classic, 1800, 1400 and 1000 class championships were also sewn up at Anglesey with Peter Venn, Peter Bragg, Geoff Fern and Adrian Wright being crowned champions of their respective classes.
So that just leaves the 1600 class up for grabs with Nigel Davers leading David Parkinson by 15 points going into the final two rounds this weekend.
Parkinson will have to double his rival's point's scores in each race and hope to get the fastest lap bonus points to have any chance of taking the title. But Davers cannot afford to relax this weekend as a DNF could change the whole complexion of the championship.
