British DTM driver Jamie Green steered his Mercedes C-Class to his second win of the season around the streets of Nuremberg.
Green, who also took victory last month in Mugello, beat fellow Mercedes driver Bruno Spengler off the line to lead from start to finish: "That was a tough race," said Green following his victory. "At some points, Bruno came really close. I had some trouble with the balance of my car and made two slight mistakes in the chicane."
"Two years ago, I had a chance of winning in Nuremberg but it didn't happen. I am proud that this year I've had the strength to get it right."
Championship leader Timo Scheider was the first Audi driver home in third place ahead of team-mate Mattias Ekstrom and Mercedes' Paul di Resta. Britain's Gary Paffett crossed the line in fifth place but was later disqualified when his car was found to be three kilograms underweight.
Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher put in an impressive performance, making his way from 17th on the grid to ninth place, before technical problems forced the Mercedes driver to retire five laps before the end of the race.
This weekend's result means that just one point now separates Green from Timo Scheider in the overall championship standings.
