Janicki claims final Nippon Challenge win of the season
02/09/12 - Nippon Challenge Race Two - James Janicki brought the MSVR Cadwell Park meeting to a close with a great drive to win the final Nippon Challenge race of the season.

A fantastic five car battle developed for the lead with the Subaru of Kevin Middleton joining in the fray. However, as the race reached the half way point, Janicki made his move and he grabbed the lead from Lawtey. Lockwood ceased the opportunity to move into second with Lawtey out of position.
Janicki soon moved away from the field and in the end he completed a comfortable win from Lockwood and Lawtey. The rapid Suzuki Swift of Andy McLennan managed to finish seventh from the back of the grid once again.

Tovey started from pole after edging Winrow by nine thousandths of a second in qualifying and he made the most of the advantage to lead into Coppice. By lap three Winrow managed to slip past Tovey for the lead and he began to open up a slight gap. Tovey remained in his mirrors and a mistake from Winrow at the Gooseneck saw the Bristol man storm into the lead on the penultimate lap.
As the top two entered the last lap Winrow pulled alongside Tovey and managed to slide into the lead with an incredible move around the outside at Coppice. Tovey was unable to respond and it was Winrow who took the chequered flag. Crilly came home in third ahead of Goodman, Charles Plumley and Simon Glenn.
