Titles to be decided at MSVR’s Weekend of Champions

23/10/12 - Champions are set to be crowned this weekend at Snetterton (27/28 October) as the MotorSport Vision Racing season draws to a close on the 300 circuit for the MSVR Weekend of Champions.

The F3 Cup title race is set to go down to the wire with three drivers in the mix to become the inaugural F3 Cup champion. Chris Dittmann leads the standings by 25.5 points going into the meeting but the destiny of the crown is far from certain, with Snetterton local Tristan Cliffe and Italian Gino Ussi hoping to take the fight to the final race of the season.

The Lotus Cup UK Supersport championship will be fought out on track, with a dozen drivers in with a shout of the title. Steve Train leads the standings, but with dropped scores coming into play, his consistent run may work against him. Fellow 2-Eleven runners Tom Chatterway and Simon Deacon are in pole position to deny him, however Rob Fenn could well steal the title with another win as he sets out to shade Adrian Hall's win tally.

Rob Boston has already taken the Production class honours and will face Andrew Bentley for a battle of supremacy in the Elise Trophy. Boston's early season wins makes him the most successful driver of the year but Bentley could end the year on near-equal terms this Sunday. Spectators keen to get a Lotus-eye view of the circuit can also enter a free prize draw to win a lap with the Motorsport division's head, GT racer Gavan Kershaw.

Fans will also be able to get their F1 fix with an example from the Lotus F1 Team on display alongside a range of the Norfolk manufacturer's finest new machines.

The Le Mans style Radical sportscars are guaranteed to entertain with close title battles in the both the Radical UK Cup and Clubman's Cup, which will be decided throughout the weekend. The Clubman's Cup will see Bradley Smith and Matt Bell go head-to-head while six drivers will battle it out for UK Cup glory.

The VAG Trophy tin top series for Volkswagen Audi Group cars is preparing for a four way title fight, while the extremely competitive MK2 Golf GTI Championship will crown a new champion for 2012.

There will also be an oriental flavour to the action on track, with two Red Dragon races on Saturday, with high performance Japanese machines taking to the circuit. There will also be racing from the ever popular Club MSV Trackday Trophy, a series for novice competitors.

Tickets for the MSVR Weekend of Champions at Snetterton on 27/28 October are available in advance from £10, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
