MSVR organises annual Masters Historic Festival

The third Masters Historic Festival will take place at Brands Hatch this weekend

Organised by MSVR, in association with Masters Historic Racing, the Masters Festival is a three day historic racing extravaganza, featuring some of the world's most famous classic F1, saloon and sports cars competing on the Grand Prix circuit.

Added as a last-minute entry, the iconic Ronnie Peterson Lotus 79 will make its historic racing debut in the Grand Prix Masters series - 30 years after it clinched pole position at Brands Hatch in the 1978 British GP.

Formula One legend Sir Stirling Moss will also be competing in a 1956 Osca 1500 sportscar in the Gentlemen Driver GT race.

"I'm really looking forward to it as I enjoy racing the old cars," said Moss. "This weekend is a new challenge for both an old car and the driver, but we are hoping for a class win."

Other entertainment at the Masters Historic Festival includes guest races from the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association, two rounds of the World Sportscar Masters series, a celebration of Morgan's 100th anniversary and an auction of over 50 rare and unqiue vehicles from Coys of London.
