Glorious Ginettas at Cadwell Park

Celebrating 50 years of Ginetta cars, over eighty competitors took part in the Ginetta Festival at Cadwell Park with races for Ginetta G20s, Ginetta Juniors and the all new Ginetta G50s.

The event ran largely under blue skies as the race meeting bathed in early spring sunshine. A parade of various classic Ginetta models also ran during the day.

The schedule included the inaugural rounds of the Club Ginetta series, with an entry from ex-footballer and England international, Luther Blissett.

The brand new Ginetta G50 Cup, Texaco Havoline Ginetta Championship and Ginetta Junior Championship also entertained the spectators with some extremely close racing.

Chairman of Ginetta Cars, Lawrence Tomlinson, said: "It has been a fantastic weekend. The circuit has brought out the best racing we have seen for a while. All of the drivers have thoroughly enjoyed themselves, the race meeting has run very smoothly and it's great to see Cadwell Park in such great shape".

David Scott, Event Director, said: "As always the team of marshals at Cadwell Park did a great job and were treated to some fantastic racing".
