With two meetings already consigned to history in 2008 and a third at Cadwell Park on 6 April, the MSVR Blast in the Park at Donington Grand Prix circuit on 12/13 April will be the fourth event in a 22 meeting schedule.
It is also the first race meeting of 2008 at which MSVR’s entire ‘package’ comes together in one place and there is something for everyone.
The 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Championship makes its 2008 debut with around twenty young chargers looking to emulate the success of Tim Bridgman and Stefan Wilson, the 2007 McLaren Autosport award winner.
It also sees the first race in an eight event series for the GT Cup and VdeV UK.
The GT Cup has two 30 minute races for mouth-watering cars like Ferrari 360s and Porsche 996s plus other manufacturers. At its debut event we are expecting a full grid of 38 of these supercars.
VdeV UK is a 3 hour endurance race for 2 litre sports racing cars – mini Le Mans prototypes. Expect 25 of these cars to slug it out around Donington.
Meanwhile, the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy has two grids of double headers and sees MSVR Competition Secretary David Willey make his race debut!
The two visiting series are Heritage Grand Touring Cars and Classic Clubmans. Heritage also boasts a full grid of GT cars from yesteryear and Classic Clubmans is always an exciting trip down memory lane.
So something for everyone here, not forgetting the volunteer marshals who will enjoy a prize draw with prizes from VdeV UK, Lotus on Track and MSVR.
