Cadwell Park gets ready for Super Saloon Sunday

Lincolnshire circuit plays host to bumper MSVR meeting

The picturesque Cadwell Park circuit will play host to MSVR's Super Saloon Sunday this weekend (28 June).

MSVR is the racing arm of Cadwell Park circuit owner MotorSport Vision, and will be showcasing two series run by the club as well as three invitation categories on Sunday.

The GAZ Shocks Production BMW Championship - a one make series specifically designed to provide close and affordable racing for drivers of all abilities - is enjoying its first season under the MSVR banner in 2009. Coming into this Sunday's event, Rob Smith is at the top of the standings after scoring four straight wins. However, with 90 points available on Sunday, Smith will be under pressure from his nearest rivals Liam Crilly and Tony Smith.

Having experienced capacity grids throughout the 2008 season, the Toyo Tires Racing Saloon Series has established itself as one of the leading club racing saloon series in the UK. The series prides itself on close competition and Dean Spurr, Tony Ellis, John Wilcocks, Peter Seldon and James Hebditch have all tasted victory this season in a very open series.

Alongside the MSVR championship and series, there will also be racing from the North Saloon & Sportscar Championship, the Federal Tyres Nippon Challenge and the  Silverstone Tyres MR2 Race Series.
