Formula Two heads to Donington Park

Formula Two heads to Donington Park on 15/16 August for Rounds 9 & 10 of the 2009 Championship.

Spaniard Andy Soucek heads the points table after taking a win and a second place at Brands Hatch, but he is being chased hard by Red Bull-backed Canadian driver Robert Wickens. The fast, sweeping Donington circuit is expected to provide some of the closest racing of the year, as the F2 drivers tackle the future home of the British Grand Prix in identical turbocharged Williams JPH1 F2 cars.

Formula Two is joined by a superb line-up of races including the Historic Formula 2 Championship for cars from the 1967 - 1978 era, plus a full grid of stunning supercars in the GT Cup, the well-supported Lotus Elise Trophy and the Heritage Touring Car Challenge.

Fans will be able to meet the F2 drivers at a free pit lane walkabout and autograph session on the Sunday. This main raceday will also include a tribute to Henry Surtees

Tickets are now on sale, and Formula Two organisers MSV have joined forces with Donington Park to offer F2 fans a 2 for 1 ticket deal. Anyone who books in advance will also enter a prize draw to win VIP hospitality, a grid walk and a driver meet & greet for two people.
