Lotus Elise Trophy hailed a "stunning success"

MSVR Series looks ahead to second season

The Lotus on Track Elise Trophy has received lavish praise from weekly paper Motorsport News. The series, which was the first-ever to be launched in conjunction with MotorSport Vision Racing in March 2007, began with a full grid of cars at Brands Hatch and went on to record the same feat at every other event in its debut year.

Paul Lawrence at Motorsport News was impressed at the scale of the achievement, dubbed "the most impressive new series of 2007". He said: "With full grids for every race and 54 cars for the season finale, the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy was a stunning success and put many well-established championships to shame."

The Lotus on Track Elise Trophy has an even-bigger season ahead in 2008, with two grids at several meetings and a support slot on the prestigious A1GP meeting in May on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. The season gets underway at the Lotus Celebration event on Easter Sunday at Brands Hatch (23 March) before heading to Donington Park GP circuit on 12/13 April.
