Following a hugely-successful debut outing at Snetterton in November 2007, the GT Cup has announced its race dates for the 2008 season.

The GT Cup, a brand new series organised in conjunction with MotorSport Vision Racing, will take part in eight race meetings at some of the UK's best circuits, and will feature 25 or 30 minute sprint races for single drivers of GT Cup (or equivalent) sports cars who don't wish to compete against full-time, professional racing drivers. Some 24 cars were entered at the Snetterton event, including Ferraris, Porsches and TVRs.

Entry to the GT Cup is by invitation with the series being designed for production GT cars below FIA GT3 specification. Entries will be controlled to exclude cars that don't fit within the spirit of the GT Cup and to maintain close racing.
